Welcome to Kingdom Kids, ELC’s youth program designed to enrich our kiddos through God’s word, mission work, and fun! Kingdom Kids is open to all children grades K-5th. Younger siblings are always welcome, we just ask that a parent or guardian stay with them.
We meet in Great Hall, downstairs, on Wednesday nights from 6:00 – 7:15pm. Parents are always welcome to stay, but also feel free to take this time to enjoy a little brain break for yourselves. If you are bringing younger siblings we just ask that you do stay on those nights to make sure they are safe and sound!
On normal meeting nights we start with a hangout – wash hands, get our snacks, and share stories about our weeks. Since they are then sugared up we do some type of game where they get to run around for 10 – 15 minutes. After we get some energy out we will do our project, it could be a craft or some type of activity with tED kids, or maybe some kind of work to help the church. The last 15 minutes are spent on cleaning up and if there’s time playing a quick white board game (or running around the room – always seems to be a favorite)!
We WILL be meeting during Lent this year – we’ll follow the confirmation classes and do a quick meeting between soup suppers and worship. We won’t have treats those weeks because there are always delicious desserts available at the soup suppers.
Dessert for Kingdom Kids
The confirmation kids get dessert so we do too! Like with confirmation, please send your kiddos to Kingdom Kids with full tummies so they can enjoy some yummy treats. If you sign up to bring a dessert, please be conscious of allergies and avoid using nuts. On movie nights I will provide the snacks, we usually have popcorn and chips with water. Sign-up Genius for Kingdom Kids desserts.

Note from the 2017-2018 facilitator:
Thank you so much for sharing your precious kids with me! My goal is to provide a happy, safe place where they can grow their church community. Through mission work I hope they will see that though they be small they are mighty. I want to encourage their amazing creativity through songs and crafts, and embrace their silly sides with games. My prayer for the movies is that they see that even in the world outside our church God’s love and His desire for how we act and treat others is always present.
God’s blessings to you all,
