The Annual Grove Sale

Saturday, August 3, 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Starting the week before the sale, July 29-August 2, at whatever time you can come between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., we need:

• Volunteer any day or every day to sort and price donations. Mark your calendars to work, laugh, and do a tremendous service for the community. 

• Prepare lunch, serve, and clean up. We need people to prepare lunches for volunteers, Monday through Friday. Please consider providing nourishment for these hard workers. A sign-up will be in the Tuesday Newsday and in the bulletin. If you can’t provide an entire meal, consider bringing ice and lemonade or tea or chips or cookies.

• Donate items! Look around at your own possessions and see what treasures you no longer need. Donations must be clean and in good repair. Please bring them to the church during our receiving hours: Monday, July 29 - Wednesday, July 31 - 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 

After that we are busy setting up for the sale – Thursday, August 1 and Friday, August 2 are set-up days and we need lots of help for that.

On the Day of the Sale:

• Choose one of two shifts to work. 

       -First Shift: about 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. 

       -Second Shift:  11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  

• Help with the clean-up, which begins promptly at 3:00 and is usually over by 4:30 or 5:00 p.m. 

As the big day grows closer, we will have more information available. Keep your eyes open for sign-up. All are welcome! All are needed!
